Prepositions of Place AT, ON, IN

At, on, dan in  bisa diletakkan di depan berbagai kata benda yang menunjukkan lokasi atau tempat, seperti di bawah ini.

AT
1. At di letakkan di depan kata benda yang menunjukkan sebuah event atau peristiwa.
Heny and I met at the party last night.
I saw Mary at the concert yesterday night.

2. Berikut ini adalah kata benda yang bisa diletakkan setelah preposisi at.

at home, at work, at university, at the station, at Juanda airport, at the theatre, at the end of the street, at the bottom of the sea, at someone's house, at a party, at the back of the house, at school, at college, at the bus stop, at the airport, at the office, at the bank, at the baker's, at the greengrocer's, at the doctor's

IN
1. Preposisi in sering digunakan di depan nama sebuah negara atau nama sebuah kota besar.

in Indonesia, in England, in Medan, in Jakarta.

2. In juga digunakan di depan kata benda penunjuk tempat.

in a room, in a garden, in a river, in a picture, in a village in a forest, in the sea, in the sky, in the mountains, in front of, in the middle of, in prison.

3. Kita juga mengatakan
in the corner of a room(di sudut ruangan)
in the front of (di/pada bagian depan)
in the back of(di/pada bagian belakang)
in an armchair(di atas kursi berlengan)


ON
1. Preposisi on digunakan untuk menyatakan letak lantai dalam sebuah gedung.
on the ground floor(di lantai dasar) [british english]
on the first floor(pada lantai pertama)
on the second floor(pada lantai kedua)
on the twentieth floor(pada lantai kedua puluh)

2. Tetapi kita menggunakan : in the basement (dilantai bawah tanah)

3. Preposisi on juga sering diikuti oleh kata-kata berikut:

on the ceiling, on the wall, on your nose, on a chair, on the bench, on the radio, on the stage, on the floor, on a page, on the way to(dijalan menuju), on the right/left, on the pavement, on the television, on foot(berjalan kaki), on a horse, on the notice-board, on a bicycle.
